Projek Hassan: Empowering Asnaf Farmers Through Malaysia’s First Waqf Rice Mill
For decades, small-scale farmers in Kedah have struggled under the dominance of large operators who control tractors, paddy machinery, transportation, and rice mills. This imbalance has left many farmers with low incomes, further burdened by unfair weighing practices and non-transparent pricing of seeds and paddy.
To break this cycle, Projek Hassan has introduced Malaysia’s first waqf rice mill – a groundbreaking initiative designed to create a fairer, more transparent system that uplifts the livelihoods of asnaf farmers. This project not only improves farmers’ socio-economic status and supports them in becoming self-reliant, but also strengthens food security for the ummah.
Beyond economic empowerment, Projek Hassan is a lasting source of charity (amal jariah), where benefits continuously flow to farmers, their families, and the wider community.
Through Sadaqa House – Empower Tomorrow 4.0, we invite everyone to join us in raising funds for Projek Hassan. Every contribution you make will:
– Help build Malaysia’s first waqf rice mill,
– Improve the income and quality of life of asnaf farmers and their families,
– Strengthen the nation’s food security, and
– Create lasting spiritual rewards through a sustainable charitable endowment.
Together, let’s make Projek Hassan a reality – because every grain of rice carries not just sustenance, but also prayers and hope.
